"Transformational CEOs" Now in Japanese

IESE Professor Kimio Kase, along with Professors Francisco J. Sáez and Hernán Riquelme recently released the book "Transformational CEOs" in Japanese. The original version was published in English by Edward Elgar Publishing in 2005.

The book "Transformational CEOs" analyzes four Japanese companies who managed to become leaders in their market segments during the late 1990s, a time of financial crisis for the Japanese economy when many companies were experiencing hardships and failures. The companies studied were Sony (electronics), Nissan (automobiles), Yamato (transportation) and Shin-Estu (chemicals).

The book analyzes what these companies have in common, and how they managed to be successful. The authors conclude that the most important factor for differentiating the company and creating value is the CEO.
