Nigeria governance reviewed


Experts are in Nigeria to begin a review of governance in Nigeria aimed at ensuring compliance with fundamental ideals spelt out by African leaders, an official statement said today.

The 30-member team is linked to the New Partnership for African Development (Nepad), an ambitious blueprint to ensure good governance in the countries of the continent.

The review is essentially concentrating on democracy and political governance, economic governance and management, corporate governance and socio-economic development, the statement said.
