As part of President Barack Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Joe Biden and Energy Secretary Steven Chu rolled out an $8 billion investment package for weatherisation and energy efficiency measures.
Funds of $5 billion will go towards weatherisation measures for low-income households such as insulation, draught-proofing and replacing or modernising heating and air conditioning systems.
