Compliance is Mandatory ... Resistance is Futile!


Gone are the days when IT organizations could sit quietly, hidden in their data centers, providing infrastructure and application support services to business units with relative anonymity. Today, data is no longer a byproduct of the business; it is the business. And, with organizations increasingly auguring their business processes deep into their core applications, IT organizations have emerged as vital to the success of most modern businesses. With this lofty perch has come a great deal of visibility and responsibility.

More than ever before, IT professionals are being called upon to manage compliance initiatives in response to emerging governmental regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999 and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Compliance with these and other regulations are top of mind in many organizations even to the point of sacrificing revenue generation and cost reduction initiatives.
