About the Theme:
Integrating corporate responsibility into the heart of business theory and practice is a hotly debated topic of increasing relevance to companies, governments, civil society actors and academics. This event will look at the links between:
* Strategic Management- Strategy links companies with their market (economic, financial and technological) and non-market (social, political and cultural) environments.
* Stakeholder View of the Firm- Companies are inextricably linked to a diverse set of stakeholders in these environments and boundaries between market and non-market factors become increasingly blurred
* Corporate Sustainability- Therefore, corporate sustainability is based on the ability of firms to generate long-term value through mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders
