This guide was prepared by the Chairman of the General Authority of Investment and Free Zones, Dr. Zeyad Bahaa El Din, together with the Chairman of the Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchange, Mr. Maged Shawqi. It is based on a questionnaire compiled by CIPE and consultations with a number of accounting and business experts in Egypt. The guide is prepared in accordance with the corporate governance principles issued by the OECD and a number of countries including South Africa, Malaysia and the Philippines.
