Report ranks Corporate Governance


A new report has rated corporate governance systems among Asian economies. The report compared corporate governance regulations and practices in 9 different Asian countries. Singapore ranked first, scoring 39.80 out of 50 for corporate governance practices based on 10 categories. Hong Kong closely followed with 39.40. Korea scored 26.06 points, placing third. Thailand scored 25.78, Taiwan 25.68, Malaysia 25.30, the Philippines 19.60, Indonesia 17.37 and China 16.99 points.
