To be an effective leader, you need compelling vision, argues business guru Ken Blanchard, who recently gave a talk entitled Maximizing Competition in Companies: Reinventing Leadership, to some 200 managers at IESE Business School (University of Navarra).
The talk, organized by IESE and Adecco, listed setting objectives with adequate vision, being the employer of choice, making the investment of choice and being a citizen of choice as the four key steps to achieve this goal.
In the first part of his talk, Blanchard spoke about the importance of having a clear set of objectives and compelling vision. He then went on to outline four key steps.
