
Powerful investors say audit commitees' corporate governance powers are not being utilised effectively by shareholders
Investors need to put audit committees to better use in terms of their corporate governance remit.
The claim was made by a group of prominent investors including envoys from Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Standard Life Investments, the FT reported.
Together with other members of the group which includes Ernst & Young, a guide has been published for the benefit of both the investors and the audit committes.
