Green Awards2009


Background

Launched in 2006 to critical acclaim, the Green Awards were set up to recognise and reward creative work that communicates the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility, sustainable development and ethical best practice in any sector and across any marketing discipline.

In the four years since its inception, the awards have become an established event on the global eco-calendar highlighting the best examples of green marketing and sustainability communications that have made a real difference in the fight against global warming.

Rt Hon Lord Smith of Finsbury, Chairman of both the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and The Environment Agency commented, “The need to care for our planet, husband our resources wisely, and sustain our environment is becoming ever more urgent and important. These awards help to put that cause at the very heart of our creative economy. They will help us to aim higher.
