Is New Media a Hotbed of Hatred Toward Women?


On Wednesday, thanks to @ErinFuller, I spent the day at the U.S. Capitol presenting on a panel with some of the brightest minds in media (think: Suzanne Malveaux from CNN and Lisa Dollinger of Clear Channel).

Our panel, hosted by The Girl Scouts of America (I was a Brownie and a Girl Scout) and the Alliance for Women in Media, was titled, "Changing the Media Landscape," and I was honored to be the voice of new media at this event.

Alfre Woodard was mistress of ceremonies and Geena Davis was the keynote speaker. We talked about how the way in which women and girls have changed over the past five years and what we can do to make improvements.
