The Corporate Governance & Financial Reporting Centre (CGFRC) and Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) jointly organised a half-day seminar titled “Risk Management: New Focus on an Old Problem of Director's Liability” which was held on 08 March 2005 at East India Rooms, Raffles Hotel, Singapore.
The seminar consisted of two presentations and a panel discussion. The opening address was given by Mr. John Lim, president of SID, and this was followed by a presentation on risk management (including a case study) by Professor Gunter Dufey (University of Michigan & Nanyang Technological University). Mr. Adrian Chan, Senior Partner of Lee & Lee, Singapore wrapped up the presentations by giving a talk on the latest developments with regard to directors’ liability under Singapore Law.
