Accountants tally virtues of compliance

Corporate governance and compliance with new accounting rules are providing more money and work for accounting contractors, a survey released yesterday has found.

The Resources Global Professionals survey shows that 45 per cent of respondents, all senior people in accounting and finance, had worked mainly on compliance projects in 2005, up from 20 per cent the year before.
