Business Ethics Names Top 100 U.S. Corporate Social Responsibility Performers

Businesss Ethics magazine has released its annual survey of the "100 Best Corporate Citizens." The closely-watched survey has gained national recognition as an indicator of best practices in the area of corporate social responsibility.

This year's "100 Best" list is led by Cummins, Inc., a Columbus, Ind.-based engine manufacturer cited as a world leader in emissions reductions. Cummins has made the “100 Best” list every year since its inception six years ago. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters of Waterbury, Vt., was the number-two rated company, hailed as “a pioneer in helping struggling coffee growers by paying them fair trade prices.” St. Paul Travelers Companies received the third-best rating, cited for community service.
