The new rules allow the members to be part of a company, but without holding any substantial interests.
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has accorded general permission to its members to practice, become non-executive director, promoter or subscriber to the Memorandum and Articles of Association of a company which fall within the scope of the profession, newly elected ICSI President R Ravi said in Bangalore on Saturday.
