Nestle faces shareholder revolt over corporate governance


The Swiss-based food giant Nestle faces a shareholder revolt during its annual general assembly on Thursday over plans to grant chief executive Peter Brabeck dual powers by appointing him chairman of the board.

Ethos and ACTARES, two groups of smaller shareholders campaigning for ethical business practices, have announced that they intend to submit motions to ensure the two posts remain separate.
