A recent survey has demonstrated the ground that has been gained in corporate governance reporting in The Netherlands. Governance Metrics International (GMI) have released the results of research they have conducted on 3,220 companies worldwide. The Anglo-Saxon countries (UK, Canada, US, Australia and Ireland) are still on the top of the list, but are now closely followed by the Netherlands. That the Netherlands have risen to the sixth place is, according to GMI, we have to thank to the introduction of the Tabaksblat Code.
