Survey reveals the truth about executives

FOR the first time, we have a snapshot of what is happening to the composition of S&P/ASX 200 company boards. And there are some surprises.

After three years of pay stagnation, average annual salaries of non-executive directors jumped 22 per cent in 2004 to $103,077.

The average S&P/ASX 200 non-executive director sits on 1.25 S&P/ASX 200 boards, so their take home pay is about $130,000, which means most will have some other income.
