MFI shareholders plot revolt over executive pay

Shareholders are rightly taking issue with their managements and with the correct compensation.

MFI, the struggling DIY group, faces a shareholder revolt over the pay and conditions of its senior executives at its annual meeting next Thursday.

The National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) has recommended that its members vote against the remuneration of MFI's board. The Association of British Insurers has "amber topped" its report to investors on MFI, signifying a breach of best corporate governance practice.
