PwC US cites Sarbanes-Oxley workload in NovaMed resignation

NovaMed has been forced to find a new independent auditor after PricewaterhouseCoopers US (PwC) informed the US-based medical group that it no longer has the time to fulfil its engagement due to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance work

NovaMed has been forced to find a new independent auditor after PricewaterhouseCoopers US (PwC) informed the US-based medical group that it no longer has the time to fulfil its engagement due to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance work.

The Big Four firm notified NovaMed’s audit committee of its decision to resign as the company’s independent accountant. PwC said it was not the result of any disagreements with NovaMed over accounting principles or practices, financial statement disclosure or auditing scope of procedures.
