SOX: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

While each new piece of legislation has its intended benefits, it is likely to have several unintended consequences as well. Less than two years since the enactment of Sarbanes-Oxley, its many detractors are convinced that the negative, unintended consequences are outweighing the benefits. I view the benefits as far greater; however, I agree that there are some good, some bad and some ugly consequences that come from this legislation.
