Financial service provider TIAA-CREF named John C. Wilcox senior vice president and head of corporate governance, succeeding Peter Clapman, who is retiring but will continue to advise the company during the transition.
In a press release Thursday, the retirement savings company said Wilcox's responsibilities will be monitoring the governance practices at companies in which TIAA-CREF invests and assuring that TIAA-CREF's own governing practice measures up to the standards of its portfolio companies.
