PSUs take the ratings route to keep govt at bay

Public sector companies seem to have found a novel way to keep off government interference and run themselves in a professional manner. They are knocking at the doors of the rating agencies for a corporate governance check-up in the form of a rating.

The move is seen as a bid to enhance transparency (which is an important factor while assessing the corporate governance rating of a company) in the functioning of the company.
