SOX's Silver Lining

Despite the love/hate relationship that CIOs have with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the legislation gained some begrudging praise at a recent Frontlines Forum governance conference in San Francisco.

Frontlines conference chairman Roderick Hills, former chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, cited a survey by one of the Big Four accounting firms in which 74% of companies found value in complying with Section 404.
