About the conference
The J. J. Irani Committee Report on Company Law was made public recently. CEO / CFO certification of Internal Controls finds prominence in both the Irani Report as well as Clause 49. This mandates understanding the rationale behind this requirement and get a detailed view of the consequent work that the corporates need to do to ensure compliance. Enterprise Risk Assessment and their mitigation strategies now need to be explicitly documented. The Corporates go on debating the issue of Independent Directors for which consensus needs to be struck.
