Many UK listed companies unaware of the impact of IFRS

Many UK listed companies are still “disturbingly unaware” of the impact that International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) will have on their key performance indicators (KPIs), warned ICAEW Chief Executive Eric Anstee, at the professional body’s annual conference on Tuesday (28 June). He revealed the results of ICAEW research showing that the majority of listed companies (58%) surveyed are unsure of the impact that IFRS will have on their KPIs. More than a quarter (27%) expect that the impact will be negative, while 14% think it will be positive.
