Sarb-Ox Relief Is Too Late to Ease IT Pain


Speculation continues to abound that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board may make further revisions to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act to help make it easier for companies to comply with the law's requirements.

However, any relief that might be offered would fall short of stemming the pain that many IT departments have had to endure to document their technology controls, IT managers and analysts said last week.
