Spate of scandals busts trust in Germany
And then there were five. Over the past year, Deutsche Bank, DaimlerChrysler, Volkswagen, Infineon and now Commerzbank - five of the 30 companies in Germany's blue-chip Dax index - have been embroiled in scandal and corruption allegations in one way or another.
It is hard to think of a period when so many prominent companies were besmirched in such a short period. Could this be a trend?
