LuSE Introduces Own Governance Code for Listed Companies
AT long last, the Lusaka Stock Exchange (LuSE) has introduced its own governance code for companies listed and quoted on the exchange.
This is a landmark achievement in the development of corporate governance in Zambia.
This code is voluntary and not mandatory. Although the code is primarily for listed and quoted companies, it is hoped that it will be a useful guide for companies not listed on the exchange in both the private and public sectors, whether large or small and medium enterprises.
Copies of the code can be obtained from the Institute of directors at the UN Annex, opposite Saint Ignatius Church or at the LuSE offices at Farmers House on Cairo road.
