Corporate governance rated average in E. Asia


Korea's corporate governance system was rated average among East Asian economies.

The finding came after Jang Ha-sung, dean of Korea University Business School, presented a report at the 16th General Meeting of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) yesterday at COEX in Seoul.

The report titled "Comparative Evaluation of Corporate Governance Regulations and Practices in East Asia," compared corporate governance regulations and practices in 9 different East Asian countries, including China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
