Obasanjo tasks African leaders on good governance


President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday in New York said that a major challenge to the leadership in Africa was the sustenance of democracy and good governance.

The president was speaking at a workshop on “promoting good governance” organised by the Global Initiative of former US President Bill Clinton.

Obasanjo said that “without good governance, the total capacity of the people cannot be unleashed for development and progress”.
