PCAOB criticises KPMG audits
US regulator criticises KPMG for significant 'deficiencies' over its audit of several public company accounts
KPMG has received its second slice of criticism in almost a month, this time over 'deficiencies' in its audit of US public company accounts.
The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board slammed KPMG over significant 'deficiencies' in the audits of public company accounts last year – only one month after the firm admitted selling US tax shelters and agreeing a $456m settlement with the Department of Justice.
