Top women are squeezed out of organisational life


One quarter of female senior managers in UK companies are not adequately involved in
decision making, according to new research by global employee research and
consultancy firm ISR.

The research looks at the factors that motivate male and female senior managers, and is
the most comprehensive ISR study of its kind. It reveals that many women in senior jobs:
  • say they aren’t adequately involved in decision making
  • do not have confidence in decisions made by the senior management team
  • aren’t encouraged to give their best
  • don’t think it is safe to speak-up.
