Good corporate governance can play a direct role in spurring change and the general well being of the country, Parliamentary Secretary Tonio Fenech said while addressing the Institute of Directors Corporate Governance Seminar on Thursday.
The Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Finance said that corporate governance is becoming all the more important, even in the local scenario. Government's commitment to continue with privatisation programmes and to promote public private partnership initiatives, possibly with more strategically sensitive owned companies coming into play, is evidence to this.
