The case for better African business schools


Critical to Africa’s economic growth problem is a lack of the managerial skills needed to build and grow successful firms. By providing a stronger pool of trained managers, African business schools can help foster a healthy private sector. Initiatives that help bring the resources and knowledge of the world’s top international MBA programs to the existing local schools, such as the one led by the International Finance Corporation, can be a big first step to improving their quality and capacity.
