
THE Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (Maicsa) wants to focus on the issue of corporate governance and will strive to educate its members on the subject through conferences, training and other platforms.
“I cannot say where Malaysia is on the corporate governance map, but what I can say is we are moving towards being serious on the subject,” president Muhammad Hafidz Nuruddin told StarBiz.
“It is not something that can easily be measured although some people may refer to corruption indexes as benchmarks.”
According to him, there is no “ultimate” corporate governance that can be achieved as it is a continuous process.
