AWB CEO's exit will leave board short on skills, report warns


Clearly demonstrating that the composition of the Board was not right.

Much has gone wrong with this organization and those in charge should go.

The resignation of AWB chief executive Andrew Lindberg has exposed more governance flaws and lack of expertise inside the stumbling monopoly wheat exporter, according to experts.

A report, released yesterday before what is expected to be a rocky annual meeting for AWB, claims that appointing non-executive director Peter Polson as acting managing director would leave the company's owners with only one representative on the board.
