An Italian court on Wednesday suspended Cesare Geronzi, chairman of Italian banking group Capitalia, from office following investigations linked to the 2003 bankruptcy of Parmalat, the dairy goods company.
The Capitalia group, which owns Banca di Roma, ranks as Italy's fourth biggest bank by assets.
