Corporate sector and IT industry should work together for ushering in better governance practices, which have to be put in place as the country was witness to a robust growth of capital market, said S C Das, executive director, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
At a seminar organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here recently, he said IT systems have to strengthen corporate governance for greater accountability. Market regulator SEBI was only an umpire keen to facilitate proper governance among listed companies.
