Catching up with Open Pages; compliance is a subset of risk management; the importance of chief compliance officers
With IDS Scheer's ProcessWorld just around the corner, the e-business world's attention is once again turning to the intersection of business processes, technology, and strategy. One topic that was big last year, and will once again take center stage, is compliance, which IDS Scheer views as both a subset of risk management and a strategic opportunity.
That doesn't strike a lot of CEOs, who already may feel that Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and related compliance mandates are too costly, as intuitive. But that's the way the wind is blowing, says Peter Morgan, SVP of Marketing at compliance software specialist OpenPages.
