Chamber of Commerce hits at 'too harsh' SEC


The chief US financial regulator must consider changes to the way it investigates and punishes companies because its approach to enforcement has become harsh and unfair, according to the most powerful US business group.

The US Chamber of Commerce on Thursday publishes a report that says the tough approach taken by the Securities and Exchange Commission's enforcement division risks harming the economy.
