Bosses put pen to paper to adhere to ASX rules


MORE chief executives and chief financial officers are signing off on their companies' financial statements.

The majority are also signing off on non-financial issues such as workplace safety, greenhouse gas emissions and staffing issues.

A KPMG study found that 69 per cent of CEOs and CFOs were now signing off statements. This compared with 44 per cent the previous year, suggesting business leaders were taking the guidelines for corporate governance best practice more seriously.
