CSE: Presented with CSR Europe Award in collaboration with Lloyds TSB for Leadership and Governance

Lloyds TSB received an award for the project it presented in co-operation with the Centre for Sustainability & Excellence (CSE) during the Annual European Marketplace, organised by CSR Europe on June 22nd, 2006. The award was given in the category Leadership and Governance, among 200 projects presented by numerous multinational companies. The event, which was attended by over 400 executives from European companies, was held in Brussels and was addressed by the Chairman of CSR Europe, Mr. Etienne Davignon and the Vice-Chairman of the EU for Business and Industry, Mr. G.Verheugen.

The outcome of the 2year co-operation was presented by Mr. N.Avlonas, Executive Director of the Center for Sustainability & Excellence (CSE) and Mr. J. Swannick & Mr. Richard Cooper, CSR Representatives of Lloyds TSB. The innovative project included the measurement of CSR activities and their integration into the Strategy and Policy of the organisation. In addition, the project involved the publication of an innovative Annual Report, which has already received flattering remarks from the British Press.
