Time for a selective boycott of Sarbanes-Oxley
British need not fix controls at all costs
As the risk of criminal extradition looms large in the minds of many British executives, it would be a brave company that went out of its way to deliberately flout US securities law. But just as the alleged unequal treatment of the NatWest Three has provoked a rare outbreak of solidarity among UK business leaders, the imminent arrival of Sarbanes-Oxley legislation demands a tough response.
