Who Pays The Bribes?
The Transparency International Bribe Payers Index (BPI) 2006 will be released on 4 October.
The BPI ranks the propensity of firms from 30 exporting countries to bribe abroad. It is based on the World Economic Forum’s Executive Opinion Survey. The survey was commissioned by Transparency International, the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption.
The BPI addresses corruption by foreign companies of public officials, reflecting the experiences of more than 11,000 executives from companies in 126 countries.
