BJP state president La Ganesan on Monday demanded the resignation of State Election Commissioner, Director General of Police and City Police Commissioner, even as his party petitioned the Governor to initiate steps for repoll for Chennai Corporation in view of large-scale violence and booth capturing on Friday.
A party delegation led by Ganean handed over a memorandum to Governor Surjit Singh Barnala at the Raj Bhavan on Monday afternoon demanding repoll in Chennai.
Earlier, talking to reporters at the party headquarters, Ganesan urged SEC D Chandrashekaran, DGP D Mukherjee and CoP Letika Saran to quit their posts if they have any ‘‘conscience.’’
