
It is good to see that Mr. Mittal may be listening to the voices that are expressing dissatisfaction with the governance model he has put into place.
Maybe his (undeserved) designation as the FT´s Man of the Year has influenced him.

Arcelor Mittal, the world’s biggest steelmaker, could start looking for an outside non-executive chairman next year to damp any concerns that Lakshmi Mittal, the chief executive and main shareholder, has too much power.
In an interview with the Financial Times, Mr Mittal said he was “not particularly interested” in taking over as chairman in 2007, reversing a plan set in place last June when Mittal Steel finalised the €26.9bn (£18bn) purchase of Arcelor.
