Siemens shareholders oppose board


A group of Siemens shareholders is opposing ratifying the actions of the company’s managing and supervisory boards at next month’s annual general meeting due to a series of controversies and allegations of corruption at the company.

The association of Siemens’ staff shareholders has submitted proposals for the German industrial giant’s AGM in January in which it rejects agenda items ratifying the acts of the two boards during the 2005/06 fiscal year to end-September.
