UK finance chiefs hit out over reporting proposals


UK finance directors have hit out at proposals from the world's biggest accounting firms for a radical overhaul of the way companies communicate with investors.

In an unprecedented move, the "big four" accounting firms and two others last week joined forces to call for a shift away from static quarterly financial statements to quick-fire reporting on a wider range of measures.
