New research identifies abilities managers need to integrate corporate responsibility into their behaviour

New research published this week by Ashridge Business School and the European Academy for Business in Society (EABIS) reveals that while organisations are embracing corporate responsibility (CR) on a macro level, challenges remain in integrating it successfully amongst managers.

The research, Leadership Qualities and Management Competencies for Corporate Responsibility, identifies five abilities that managers need to develop, in order to integrate social and environmental considerations into their individual business decisions. The findings are based on a questionnaire of over 100 managers and a series of in-depth interviews with senior managers in eleven leading European-based multinational companies.
